Company Overview
Triarii – Tree-are-ee (Singular: Triarius) were spearmen in the armies of the early Roman Republic. They were the oldest and among the wealthiest men in the army, and could afford good quality equipment. They wore heavy metal armor and carried large shields, their usual position being the third and final battle line fighting in a shallow phalanx formation, supported by light troops. They were recognized as “an empire at your command” to bring successful finality to a battle.
